Myles Garrett Would Make the Buccaneers a Super Bowl Contender

At this point in his career, Garrett is one of the best defensive players in football. He remains the kind of pass rusher who can alter protection schemes, wreck game plans, and instantly raise the ceiling of an entire defense.

Garrett played in 17 games last year, racking up 60 total tackles to go along with 23 sacks, three forced fumbles, and a defended pass. Throughout his entire career, he has established himself as one of the most dominant edge rushers of his generation.

Now at 30 years old, Garrett wants to win. It doesn’t appear that the Browns are close to being able to offer him that. The Buccaneers, on the other hand, could give him that opportunity.

While there is a good chance that Cleveland won’t entertain trade offers for Garrett, this move gives them the opportunity to do so. It would be wise for Tampa Bay to make a phone call and at least have discussions about what the framework of a deal could look like.

If Licht and the Buccaneers are truly all-in on pursuing a Super Bowl, trading for Garrett would be exactly the move they should look to make.
